What Wandernests is

Wandernests (wandernests.app) is a trip-planning app for small groups of travelers. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can reach us about it. See our Terms of Service for the rules of using the app.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and name, from Supabase Auth - either an email/password you set, or your name and email from Google if you sign in with Google.
• Trip content: trip names, destinations, dates, and anything you or the people you invite add - itinerary items, chat messages, and notes.
• Uploaded booking documents: flight, hotel, car and insurance confirmations you upload or forward by email are parsed to extract itinerary details (dates, confirmation numbers, costs). The uploaded file itself is deleted from storage immediately after parsing - only the extracted itinerary data is kept.
• Feedback: anything you send us through the app's Help & feedback form.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of third-party services to run the app - each only sees what it needs to:

• Supabase hosts our database, file storage, and handles sign-in (including Google sign-in).
• OpenAI parses the text of uploaded booking documents to extract itinerary details - it doesn't receive your account info, only the document content.
• Emailit delivers the app's transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, invites).
• Weather (Open-Meteo), map/geocoding (Nominatim) and currency-conversion (open.er-api.com) lookups use only a destination name, coordinates, or currency code - never your personal information.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who can see your trip

A trip is only visible to the people you explicitly invite to it. If you turn on public sharing for a trip, only the recommendations you choose to mark for sharing become visible on a public link - never your full itinerary, chat, or notes.

Your choices

You can delete a trip yourself at any time from within the app. There's currently no self-service account deletion - email us at confis@gmail.com and we'll delete your account and its data.
